My name in lights [Tim]

This won't be very exciting to any of you, but Tim had a 3-page article published in the Estates Gazette this week. It's the biggest publication in the UK property industry, with a huge readership, and it's very difficult to get them to publish your work. Yay!

Putting the "ahh" into Spaaaah...

Had a lovely weekend at Henlow Grange, including a day off work on Monday.

Both feeling well fed, relaxed and tension-free!

Jo has been appointed permanent Financial Controller at GOSHCH after having to sit through a full interview on Friday - but we never doubted that the job was hers (no-one else could do it!)

Tim was out running on Tuesday afternoon when he and a few others took some clients out for a triathlon training day in Herne Hill, where they have a lido and velodrome as well as a nice little park for the 5k run. The weather has been pretty wet this week, but good running weather. The triathlon is a month away. Tim missed the first of his latest round of dance lessons last night, though.

It's Jo's turn to do the DIY this weekend (snagging work, mostly!), because Tim is off on Keith's long-awaited (and more than a year overdue) stag weekend in Bedford and Birmingham. Indoor freefall, clay-pigeon shooting and the like. Don't expect photos on this blog, except maybe for a photo of Keith in an undersized superman outfit in the indoor skydiving!

DIY Hell

Haven't posted a new blog in a wee while...

The Bank Holiday weekend was taken up with sanding, dusting, furniture moving and (eventually) painting in the lounge and kitchen - but we only got as far as the first coat so we're going back for more this weekend! We've also taken the plunge and are "getting a man in" to quote for the more complicated stuff like window ledges, bathroom etc...

Jo's work is still heading on an upward curve towards various Spring deadlines, and Tim's spending a few hours every week practicing his new dance moves ahead of May's big competition. Tim is also planning Toby's stag weekend, which will be fun once he has the first clue about how many people are going to come, and where we're going to take them.

As I write this, there's still no sign of Tim and Nina's baby #3....

The column was prompted by the administration of wedding-gift company Wrapit, with whom we (coincidentally) had a close shave this time last year!

We have a horrible feeling Tim might be misquoted, lambasted and quite possibly fired as a result. Watch this space...

Back at work after our Colorado holiday

It's Day 1. We're back from skiing/riding in Colorado and JC has already had to step into her boss's shoes ahead of the busiest 3 months of the year. Tim has survived the redundancies (thus far), has had his first "Strictly Lovells!" dance lesson, and Scotland has registered its first victory of the 6 Nations 2009. Phew!
