Strictly Lovells: 6 May 2009

I forgot to mention that tickets go on sale on 1 April for Strictly Lovells. 2 tickets are being reserved for each competitor until that time.

The event takes place in Central London on the evening of 6 May 2009.

I think that (sadly) means that Kate, Barry and the Howards will be in Australia!

Tickets are £60 each, including a meal, with at least £20 from each ticket going to the Lovells charities.

I figured Jo will want to come see me humiliate myself... let me know if you're interested too...

Mothers Day week ...

Hello... blogging again..
If you haven't worked it out yet, when you get a copy of this by email you can click on the words "posted by Jo and Tim to Jo and Tim" at the bottom, to view the full blog in context.
Not much is going on, other than work, work, work, and the odd dancing/driving lesson...

Mother's Day was great. Tim's mum and dad toured the country to visit all 3 offspring in the space of 3 days. The Concannons loved the chocolate tray bakes (well deserved after their Sunday run), and both mums loved their photo presents.

We found a nice buzzing Belgian restaurant in Richmond on Saturday after the rugby (and after Dad had wiped Old Chris's pint off his Scotland jersey). Mum loved the burger but I'll go back for another mountain of moule-frites.

Thought these photos from Nina, Tim and the girls are brilliant, so am sticking them on the blog for the Reids and Callingtons to see...

Not long now, guys!

Tim's not been keeping up with the flickr.com photo challenge, but is going to take the camera to Lucy and Tim's place on Saturday to take pictures of their new arrival... so he might be able to post some more of his own photos soon.

[p.s. the man from the Sunday Times published his article but thankfully didn't quote his conversation with Tim. ]

Read all about it!

Tim is just off the phone to a man at The Sunday Times. Keep an eye out for his broadsheet debut!

The column was prompted by the administration of wedding-gift company Wrapit, with whom we (coincidentally) had a close shave this time last year!

We have a horrible feeling Tim might be misquoted, lambasted and quite possibly fired as a result. Watch this space...

Calcutta Cup Weekend!

Yes, it's Mothers Day, but it's also Calcutta Cup Weekend!

The Super Kenny Logan Fan Club is gearing up for an explosive afternoon in Twickenham, with Mr Reid (Senior) swelling the ranks, along with stalwards Horn (Senior) Horn (Less Senior) Big Chris, Tobes and Mrs Big Chris.

Bacon sarnies round our place, then off to the Turks Head for the France game before heading to Twickenham.

Not forgetting a lovely Mothers Day dinner with Mum, Dad and Jo following riotous celebrations from the Scottish contingent...

Bring it on!

Our ski/board holiday in Winter Park, Co.

A sample of our holiday snaps from Colorado can be found here.

Poppy update!

For no particular reason other than she looks cute, here are a couple of pictures of Poppy from last weekend. She enjoyed spending a few hours with Granny and Grandpa Reid while mum was in hospital.

A new nephew!

We're delighted to announce the arrival of Lucy and Tim's new baby boy, Peter, who was born on Saturday 14th.

By all accounts he was on time and in a hurry to introduce himself. Lucy and Peter are both at home and we can't wait to visit. Congratulations!!

"Legally Ballroom II" or "Strictly Lovells!"

Tim has ordered his dancing shoes and is practicing his Cha-Cha-Cha.

More information on the event can be found on the facebook fan page here

It's all in the name of charity, so please visit the justgiving site and make a donation in support of the British Paralympic Association.

Back at work after our Colorado holiday

It's Day 1. We're back from skiing/riding in Colorado and JC has already had to step into her boss's shoes ahead of the busiest 3 months of the year. Tim has survived the redundancies (thus far), has had his first "Strictly Lovells!" dance lesson, and Scotland has registered its first victory of the 6 Nations 2009. Phew!

First blog!

OK... Here it is, our first venture into the blogging world. This will hopefully be a hub for all sorts of stuff, including our ongoing website (a hangover from the wedding) and my photo collection.
